Omega Sector Overview

Omega Sector was formed by President Ronald Reagan during the creation of the Star Wars programs as an additional deterrent to nuclear war. Originally tasked with covert intelligence gathering on Soviet missile sites, weapon fabrication plants, and nuclear reactors, their mission has since been expanded to include terrorism of all stripes on a global scale.

Omega Sector is officially an off-shoot of the Central Intelligence Agency, but with the end of the Cold War, funding has since been taken over by a private foundation, the Heimdall Society, but still given directives by the CIA. However, the Heimdall Society has a right of refusal on any operations, which all must pass through the society’s oversight committee.

Omega recruits internationally now, though this policy was only instituted in 1998 during the Clinton Administration. All of the upper level positions are filled by Americans. Recruitment occurs primarily within the intelligence and military community for field operatives. Other divisions within Omega recruit where needed to fill their ranks and needs (doctors, nurses, engineers, etc.).

The Sector has regional offices throughout the United States and a handful of satellite offices around the world that act as staging areas. Omega’s headquarters are located with in the CIA’s Langley, VA, headquarters, but most operatives (95%) report at and are staged through one of the numerous regional offices.

To keep up their covert facade, the Society has purchased several banks across the country and had their regional offices placed within the banks themselves. Regional offices are located within the following cities: Oakland, CA; Portland, OR; Denver, CO; Dallas, TX; St. Paul, MN; Chicago, IL; Miami, FL; Baltimore, MD; Boston, MA.

Satellite offices are typically office or warehouse buildings, as the Society has yet to penetrate foreign banking laws. Since it is much easier to lease space for dummy organizations, it gives the Society much more flexibility. Satellite offices are located in the following cities: London, UK; Berlin, Germany; Casablanca, Morocco; Cairo, Egypt; Istanbul, Turkey; Johannesburg, South Africa; Moscow, Russia; Hong Kong; Sydney, Australia; Tokyo, Japan.
